There is a syncopated, ragtime flavor to this swinging, strolling,
and whistling song for the intermediate level pianist. The eighth
notes are played unevenly, in a "swing" style, and the pianist will
be asked for a large dynamic range and the use of most of the
keyboard.

F major, with additional accidentals and a nice range of dynamics.
The right hand melodic duties are shared frequently with the left
hand, and there is a challenging mixture of legato and staccato
touch between the hands.

generally has blocked intervals or single notes, giving the student

The key of E minor, combined with a fast 4/4 meter, creates an
energetic, dance-like piece. A variety of articulations are used,
making this solo an excellent study in legato, staccato and
accents. Written in A-B-A form, syncopation is used in the melody
of the B section. The return of the A section brings the left hand
down one octave and uses an E natural minor scale in the coda. A

included in the Theory Book relate to learning more about important
subjects found in the music and lyrics in the Lesson Book making
for a more rounded education. Continued from previous Theory Books
are Fun Zones, Now Hear This (ear training), and Now Play This
(sight reading exercises) which add additional reinforcement to
written theory.
